Kapiri glass to commence production

THE defunct Kapiri Glass Manufacturing Company (KGMC) factory in Central Province is expected to commence production in third quarter of 2013 after equipment is installed.

Kapiri Glass Manufacturing Company chairman Costain Chilala said new machinery for the plant is expected to arrive in the country early next year.Mr Chilala said in an interview that all the preparations at the factory are going on has planned.

“We are proceeding very well with the reviving of the plant. The project is right on schedule as we speak, works are going on schedule and expected to be completed by November 2013.The new machinery is expected to arrive in the country somewhere between April or May, 2013.
