Oran Safety Glass, an Israeli glass manufacturer, plans to open its first U-S production facility in Greensville County, creating 50 jobs.

Governor Tim Kaine made the announcement today.The company is investing 4-point-1 (m) million dollars in the new facility, which will supply bulletproof glass for U-S military vehicles.Gabi Magen is the company's chief executive officer.She says the Virginia location is convenient since it's close to the company's marketing office.

She says ... quote ... "We look forward to starting production as soon as possible to deliver products that will protect U-S troops who are in harm's way."
