Unexciting in the best sense of the word are the tile designs for 2010. After neo-baroque and opulent, floral patterns, the manufacturers are once again relying on classic design and natural looks.

Colours like beige, brown and charcoal-grey dominated in Mainz at this year's Raab Karcher Tile Preview from 8th to 10th September. The focus this year, in particular, was on technological innovations. Ultra-thin fine stoneware is one of the answers to the current demands of the market and the requirements of the customers. Also in the sector’s focus: healthy living with ceramics.
