Inagas gains EU Patent for SmartStart

Date: 31 July 2014

Inagas, the industry leaders in the supply of gas filling machinery and testing equipment, is pleased to announce that its SmartStart filling lance has been granted a patent by the European Patent Office.

Supplied with the popular Smartfill range of gas filling machinery, SmartStart provides the operative with control over the fill process, without having to return to the machine.Chris Kemp, Director of Inagas explains: “We launched the Smartfill machinery range in 2010 and it quickly became clear that having the option of remote operation from the filling lance would provide greater control over the filling of multiple units and helps speed up production time. The SmartStart is designed for use with the Smartfill range and is constructed from top grade clear acrylic with an embedded LED light and on/off button. All the operator needs to do is insert the lance into the unit and press the button to start the gas filling process. The LED glows green during gas filling, turns red on completion and turns off after 30 seconds.

“We are committed to quality at Inagas, so we are pleased to have been granted a European patent for the SmartStart lance, as it provides greater security for our customers knowing that the lance they use has been manufactured by and is backed with Inagas expertise and support. There can be no inferior or imitation products on the market claiming to do the same thing in the same way.”
