By developing high-productivity machines and equipment, progressive glass production technologies as well as by many years of experience of a professional team of skilled engineers and technicians the name Heye International was made a synonym for quality and new technology. The last large-scale project was the erection of a complete glass plant in Australia. This factory is now able to provide the wine market with 200 Mio. high-quality bottles p.a.
Heye Internationals technologies, machines and equipment have been installed in more than 50 countries of the world.
The scope of supply of Heye International covers the following fields:
Technology:
-The Heye Advanced NNPB (HAP) Lightweight Technology for IS-machines
-Container glass development
-Quality data processing
-Engineering for low emission glass melting furnaces and waste heat recovery systems
Service:
-Technical assistance agreements
-Training and advanced training
-Personnel support for production plants throughout the world
-License agreements for Heye lightweight glass technology (Heye Advanced NNPB Process)
-Project planning, construction and commissioning of complete glass factories, modernisation and expansion of existing glass factories
On this years Glasstec in Düsseldorf Heye International presents a conventional IS -machine box with servo-electrically driven main drives. The following five mechanisms are installed:
1. Servo Takeout
This system can be installed or retrofit in IS Machines of the sizes 4 1/4" TG, 5;
5 1/2 and 6 1/4 DG, whereat all conventional takeout arms, takeout bridges and takeout tongs can still be used.
Features:
The motion times are freely selectable within the limits
All times and angular positions are kept with repeatable accuracy
The system is adjustable in all axes to the mould center as required
Electronic and mechanical fine adjustment of the positions possible during operation.
2. Servo Invert
The Servo Invert is designed as retrofit mechanics. Instead of an existing pneumatically driven invert it can be installed without additional machining of the IS-box. Existing variables such as neck ring holders and blow mould hinges can still be used.
Features:
Controlled and freely selectable motion times
Motion times up to 450 ms
Same drive unit for all machine sizes (4 1/4" TG, 5; 5 1/2 and 6 1/4 DG)
Synchronized opening motion of both neck ring holder halves
3. Servo Blank Mould Closing Mechanism
Instead of the standard blank mould bracket this mechanism can be installed without any additional machining of the box, too. As basic unit it can also be applied for all machine sizes using the existing variables such as mould holders with reverse and non-reverse linkage.
Features:
Controlled harmonic motion profile
Motion time up to 400 ms
Full closing force at the end of the motion
Closing forces > 12 kN
Symmetry of forces and motions
Center axis kept even after wear
4. Servo Blow Mould Closing Mechanism
For this mechanism the pneumatic drive was replaced by a motor spindle unit while maintaining the already existing lever mechanism.
Features:
Controlled harmonic motion profile
Motion time less than 500 ms
Full closing force at the end of the motion
5. Servo Pressing Mechanism (Plunger Mechanism)
The Plunger Mechanisms stroke drive consists of a central motor-gearing-spindle combination which is followed by a so-called pneumatic pressing force limiter with several plungers.
This combination allows a quick stroke movement without generating inadmissibly high forces of the plunger in the glass during the final pressing phase.
The drive concept is suitable for all machine sizes.
It goes without saying that existing mould tools such as plungers and cooling tubes can still be used.
We at Heye International look forward to welcoming you as Glasstec visitor at our booth to introduce to you personally the new technologies.
