Joining the esteemed company in 1986 armed with a diploma as a mechanical designer and prior experience as a general worker, Walter quickly became an integral part of the team. From the moment he walked through the doors, there was an instant connection between Walter and the company, igniting a fruitful career that spanned decades.

Reflecting on his time at Schiatti, Walter fondly recalls the warm welcome he received from colleagues and the supportive working environment that fostered growth and innovation. Starting his career by working on drawing-scale transparencies, Walter steadily honed his skills, embracing technological advancements and mastering the art of digital drawing in both 2D and 3D formats.

Despite the challenges that came with the job, such as managing urgent matters alongside scheduled tasks, Walter's meticulous nature and methodical approach shone through, turning potential obstacles into opportunities for improvement. Known affectionately as the "question man" among his peers, Walter's innate curiosity and penchant for problem-solving earned him admiration and respect throughout the company.

Throughout his tenure, Walter's contributions went beyond the confines of his role, with colleagues recognizing him as a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of the work at hand. His enthusiasm for the job extended beyond the office, as he fondly recalls memorable experiences such as his first participation at Glasstech, a trade fair in Germany, and the camaraderie shared during company seasonal meetings.

As he embarks on this new chapter of his life, Walter looks forward to indulging in his passions, including walking, running, hiking, swimming, cycling, and reading. Yet, amidst the excitement of retirement, he acknowledges that he will undoubtedly miss the company and the fulfilling work that defined his career.
