Diedorf, March 2012 – Grafotec Spray Systems GmbH is offering all float and flat glass manufacturers an application system for liquid corrosion protection in the form of the Liquid Application System LA 1000.

The Bavarian company has now made extensive improvements. These modifications on the one hand enhance quality during application of the corrosion protection. On the other hand, maintenance expenditure and spatial requirements are markedly reduced to make handling of the LA 1000 even more economical and convenient.

The new shutter control therefore not only allows individual actuation and fine adjustment of each application device. The spatial requirements have also been markedly reduced by the modified orientation. New adjustment options additionally permit levelling of the application device from outside the enclosure. This improvement means a saving in time, as levelling can be performed during operation.

As a further modification, the application width of an application device has been increased from 1600 mm to 2200 mm. Consequently, widths of up to approx. 4200 mm can be achieved with only 2 application devices (instead of formerly 3 devices). The telescopic rail system has been transformed into a rail system with a traveling removal frame. The advantages include simpler handling and minimization of the maintenance expenditure.

The mixing station has also been improved and now offers automatic readjustment with the mixture monitoring system. More efficient supply pumps furthermore allow a more uniform corrosion protection and installation of the mixing station on a lower floor.
