Len Payne, Business Manager at GLASSOLUTIONS in the Isle of Wight, accepted the award which was presented by Frances Outtram, Board Member, Health and Safety Executive.
The British Glass Awards are designed to promote health and safety best practice with the objective of reducing the number of accidents within the workplace.
Simon Carin, managing director of Glassolutions, which has 22 branches throughout the UK, said: “This is a fantastic accolade for the business which has worked hard to create a robust and sustainable health and safety culture, which protects the wellbeing of staff and customers.”
British Glass is both a trade confederation and a materials organisation representing manufacturers, converters and suppliers. Also a centre of international excellence, British Glass helps companies around the globe solve their technical, environmental and production challenges. As a trade association it promotes the interests of its members and creates conditions in which the glass sector can prosper.
