The manufacturer of glass for bottles and jars was presenting its latest glass innovations and its creative services in Nuremberg, Germany, from 11 to 13 November 2014.BrauBeviale 2014 is over. The drinks industry trade fair attracted record exhibitor and visitor numbers. Those manning the Verallia Deutschland stand shared the organizers’ immense satisfaction. “Our conversations with clients confirmed what we had already noted in recent months: quality manufacturers in the drinks sector are returning to a greater reliance on glass than in the recent past,” sums up company chairman Stefan Jaenecke.
“Made by nature – protected by glass” was Verallia Deutschland’s motto at this year’s BrauBeviale. On show were new models of bottle for the wine, beer and spirits sector, combining tradition with nobility and grace. Much love goes into natural harvesting, fermenting or distilling. Now preservation in glass deserves the same natural, high-quality approach, and is equally worthy of display.
Eye-catching
Catching the eye on the Verallia Deutschland stand at BrauBeviale was a ‘bottle tree.’ Bottles of every shade of green made up the ‘leaves,’ while the trunk was resplendent in brown glass. The tree symbolizes natural goodness and the recycling philosophy aptly embodied by glass, with its consistent top quality.
A new attraction at this year’s fair was a Verallia image film. Viewers could not remain unmoved as they followed the images from design idea to finished bottle. Appealing to the senses, the film portrayed the creative work and all-round service at the Design Centre, glowing glass setting into its final shape, the versatile design options and the combined potential of the worldwide family of Verallia.
Virtual Glass app
Prominent among Verallia’s services to clients and business partners on show this time was a ‘Virtual Glass’ app, which exploits present-day possibilities of technical presentation. iPad users can create glass bottles and jars of varied shapes and colours, and modify them at the stroke of a finger. They obtain an instant, virtual display of every conceivable design facet, from mouths and apertures to labels.
About mouths and apertures: Verallia Deutschland had further innovations on show. Guests and visitors were free to try out what creative minds in the company had conceived. ‘Lip appeal’ is the watchword.
Around 1300 international exhibitors at BrauBeviale displayed solutions throughout the beverage production chain, from raw materials to ideal packaging. More than 37,000 visitors from the world drinks trade gathered to find out about the latest innovations.
