FIT Show organisers have announced a key appointment to its business development team with the addition of Sarah Knight as commercial manager.

Knight joins FIT Show from Mark Allen Group’s Glass & Glazing Products Magazine where she served as advertising manager for more than 11 years selling both print and online, as well as sponsorship for the upcoming Conservatory & Orangery Awards.

Knight’s appointment will see her strengthen FIT Show’s business development team, working alongside account manager Freya Humphries, who has also taken up a new position on W Exhibition and Elements, and FIT Show business development manager, Rik Henderson.

The appointment follows on from the FIT Show organisers’ announcement to revert the Show to an annual proposition, returning to the NEC next May (12-14, 2020). Knight will be responsible for nurturing existing accounts, as well as identifying new areas to strengthen and broaden FIT Show’s proposition.

Speaking about her appointment, Sarah Knight commented: “I have been a huge supporter of FIT Show since it first launched in 2014 - the fenestration industry was missing an industry exhibition until its launch.

“I am very excited about my new role, which will allow me to build on the fantastic connections I have already made over the last decade working in the industry. I know the FIT Show has so much growth potential and cannot wait to get back out into the market and discuss all these opportunities with our clients, partners and prospects.”

FIT Show falls within the newly established ‘design and build division’ within the Montgomery Group. FIT Show event director, Nickie West added: “We really are thrilled to announce Sarah’s appointment to the FIT Show team. I’ve known her for a long time professionally due to her work with GGP Magazine, and this will serve her well as we push on with our return to the NEC in 2020 and beyond.

“Sarah couldn’t have joined the team at a more exciting time and we’re confident that her industry knowledge and experience, combined with her commercial acumen, will help us in our mission to secure the long-term success of FIT Show.”

Occupying halls 2 & 3 at the NEC next May (12 - 14, 2020), FIT Show and Visit Glass will return with the same award-winning formula that has helped to establish it as the UK’s number one, award-winning showcase for the glass, glazing, windows, doors and conservatories sectors.
