Frameless Hardware Company and Friese Foundation have reached $1 million in donations to the NGA Foundation, marking five years of financial support for glazing industry education and advocacy.

"FHC’s generosity, combined with the charity of the Friese Foundation, has been crucial to making glazier training and education financially accessible to new people entering the industry,” says NGA President & CEO Nicole Harris. “Access to training remains critical to developing the workforce.”

Over the past five years, the NGA Foundation has funded the purchase of NGA Glazier Apprentice Curriculum for more than 350 apprentices and helped establish 25 Department of Labor-approved glazier apprentice programs across the country. It has also funded the creation of new MyGlassClass.com courses.

“NGA has demonstrated its value as an excellent industry partner and effective avenue for glazier education. We’re proud to support their initiatives and help extend their resources to broader and new audiences,” says Chris Hanstad, FHC President and CEO.

In addition to training, the NGA Foundation remains committed to helping companies raise awareness of the glass and glazing industry, particularly among high school students and young people. It recently funded the development of NGA's Recruitment Kit, which includes the Guide to Recruiting at High School Career Fairs.

“Industry organizations with the necessary expertise and resources have a responsibility to contribute to training, recruitment and workforce development,” continued Hanstad. “I sincerely hope that FHC's commitment to education will inspire other companies and individuals to join this important effort.”
