Emirates Glass, the UAE's leading architectural glass manufacturer and one of Dubai Investment Group's subsidiaries, recently announced the purchase of a new super-machine that is set to triple production of tempered glass at its Dubai plant.

Emirates Glass has invested a ground-breaking AED 16 million (3.4 million Euros) for the forced convection furnace recognized as the largest tempering furnace available in the world as well as additional machinery to expand the present production line."We are very proud to be taking this lead. The recent include the purchase installation of the ultra-modern Lisec automatic glass-cutting table that will deliver Emirates Glass, in comparison to other machines now in operation at other companies, a formidable triple production capacity. A second Lisec double glazing line, equipped with the latest,edge deletion facility and the upgrade of the sealing robot will also be installed. With the installation of a Schiatti double-edger and four-holed drilling station, edge working capability will also be tripled.

Collectively, the new machines at Emirates Glass will represent the largest, single glass manufacturing machines in the world.

It is more than likely that the entire quality glass manufacturing industry will have to sit up and take notice of the incredible pace at which Emirates Glass is set to grow.
