DuPont Safety Resources has signed a contract with the Korean company SK Engineering and Construction Co. to help improve the company's safety performance as it completes a reconversion project at the Madero Refinery in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
SKEC officials said they chose to work with DSR because of its expertise in safety management. Edmundo Garcia Roman, general secretary of the Tamaulipas Workers Federation, said DSR is an excellent choice for the job of conducting SKEC's safety assessment and training because DuPont "has been recognized worldwide for its excellent record in safety."
Getting paid for what we know - in this case, about safety - in addition to what we make is part of the DuPont knowledge intensity strategy for achieving sustainable growth
