As a result, the company requires equipment which can apply information at speed and is of high quality to ensure its printing meet the standards required.
As a global company with a reputation built around the production of quality beverages, InBev UK operates a policy of continuous improvement and investment in the latest technologies. Consequently, in 2008 the company felt the time was right to investigate upgrading its existing Domino A-Series coders, which had been in constant use across the plant’s canning lines since 2001.
The A300+’s networking capabilities are especially valuable. Enabling remote monitoring without the need for special software, the printer has a built-in web server which can be accessed using a standard Microsoft browser. This allows operators to remotely monitor the status of active jobs whilst aiding forward planning by alerting them to current ink levels, production counts and the time remaining until the next scheduled service. Set to notify the production controller by email so that unplanned line downtime can be effectively eliminated, the A300+ can also backup and restore messages and save the entire printer setup for added safety and security.
