Construction of Kazakh-Iranian glass manufacturing plant in Kyzylorda to start next month

Construction of the Kazakh-Iranian glass manufacturing factory will start in Kyzyorda in October 2014, Yerlan Aitaliyev, the Chairman of Investment Fund of Kazakhstan JSC, subsidiary of Baiterek National Holding JSC, announced at a Monday press conference in Astana.

Kazakhstan and Iran agreed to construct the plant in the city of Kyzylorda earlier this month during Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani's visit to Kazakhstan (9 September 2014).Big Iranian company "Kaveh Float Glass Co" is expected to co-invest the project together with Investment Fund of Kazakhstan JSC.

Under the contract, the construction will kick off in October 2014 on the territory of a new industrial zone in Kyzylorda. The factory is planned to be commissioned in the 3rd Q of 2017," Mr. Aitaliyev told the press conference.
