At Wire 2002, Chemetall's surface treatment division presents its comprehensive list of speciality chemicals for the wire, extrusion parts and tube manufacturing industry at booth 10 F 70.

Chemetall will present some interesting new developments, among which are their internal grain refined zinc phosphate technology, liquid coppering processes, polymer coatings for hydro-forming and net shape forming, as well as salt carrier coatings and a range of high performance lubricants.

Chemetall's total product line covers all stages of preconditioning prior to cold-forming processes. This includes cleaners, dephosphating chemicals, soot removers, pickling compounds and inhibitors as well as activation chemicals. For conversion coating, a full range of zinc phosphate and oxalate processes, electro-less copper and bronze plating products are offered.

Chemetall offer specific replacements for conventional manufacturing wet processes: reactive oil technology for high precision steel tubes and salt carrier coatings for wire manufacturing are increasingly used in the industry.

The product list is complemented by a range of lubricants all designed to cover the special needs of pre-treated or bare surfaces, for example, reactive soaps, oils and emulsions.

With more than 40 subsidiaries, 30 production sites worldwide and licensees or distribution partners in many other countries, Chemetall is a truly global player and at the same time a reliable local partner for its customers throughout the world.
