Bystronic glass offers a comprehensive range of efficient handling equipment for all flat glass and plate processing sectors that are designed to suit its insulating glass lines and units for the production of laminated glass. Visitors to the Bystronic glass trade fair stand at glasstec 2012 were able to test a selection for themselves.
The products that were available to see and test included the best-selling Easy-Lift. Since 1998, it has been convincing people from the glass processing industry with its rigid guidance and its own low dead weight. More than 1,500 pieces of equipment sold speak for themselves. The Easy-Lift can be supplied for loads up to 500 kg and could be seen with a pneumatic turning and tilting function as well as a pneumatically height-adjustable control unit at the trade fair stand. The integrated automatic economy operation for vacuum creation reduces energy consumption.
Bystronic glass presented the similarly rigid guided Handy-Lift as an alternative to the Easy-Lift when dealing with adverse height conditions. It also provides all functions electrically and is particularly suitable for vertical use, for example on grinding machines. Its frequency-controlled chain hoist for raising and lowering movements is infinitely adjustable.
One of the special Easy-Lift designs for curved glass was also on display. The frame applies secure suction to convex and concave glass as well as glass lites curved in opposite directions.
Track-mounted equipment
Alongside the rigidly guided equipment, Bystronic glass also presented chain mounted handling equipment such as the Minilift that is used in all situations where horizontal to vertical positioning movements have to be made. With a rotating and tilting function, it is available with a load-bearing capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms – the version with the tilting function and without the rotating function can even lift 2,500 kilograms. The Hubfix embodies an inexpensive alternative. It is equipped with a manual rotating function and is characterised by its low dead weight and a compact design. The equipment displayed in the design with four suction pads effortlessly transports large glasses and multi-sashed windows. The suction pads can be individually adjusted – therefore even allowing large and narrow glass formats to be hoisted perfectly.
The accumulator-driven suction frame ADK is particularly suitable for outdoor areas. This model works with a two-circuit vacuum system in accordance with the EU safety standard and effortlessly hoists loads up to 600 kg. Rotating the load is performed manually in an endless manner. Safe and compact tilting is possible thanks to the hydraulic tilting function unique within the sector.
Even though the selection is incredibly diverse, one thing remains identical with all Bystronic glass vacuum hoists: They are constructed in cooperation with the customer and are produced especially for you in order to cover all requirements with regard to functionality and safety. All of the equipment displayed at the trade fair stand were hung from a lightweight craneway that was coordinated and installed based upon the individual customer requirements, as was the case with the equipment. The measurement is performed on-site by experienced personnel.
