Three men, one armed with a long rifle or shotgun, failed in their attempt to rob a Fort Lauderdale bank Wednesday morning, police said.The hooded men rushed into the Wachovia branch in the 1700 block of west Commercial Boulevard about 10 a.m. and ordered everyone to the ground, Sgt.
Andy Pallen said.
As soon as the men realized the tellers were separated from customers by a sheet of bullet-resistant glass, the men ran out and drove off in a red minivan, Pallen said.
They took no money and no one was injured.
