Better Communities with Privacy Smartglass

From attractive staircases encouraging people to walk rather than use lifts – to cute mini gardens on balconies …. all these examples can become unique designs introducing pleasant changes to everyday surroundings.How we can improve our workspace to make sure that there are enough opportunities for our activities?We can of course ask our clients and listen to their advice rather than impose ready solutions.However,  if we would like to design a product or propose a solution that is completely new and unknown, we have a different story.

Smartglass decided to come up with some innovative ideas. They could significantly influence our future surroundings.

Architectural Smartglass

Toughened laminated architectural glass is ideal for use in balustrades, overhead canopies, external elevator shafts and entrance assemblies. They provide a safe and secure solution that is visually pleasant. It could be used as a walk in glass that would change from privacy to opaque at the flick of a switch.

Where it can be used?

It is an excellent solution to use as a partition glass between floors. There are endless opportunities of using this type of glass in the gym, swimming pool or even a multi-floor design studio. It could even become a part of an exhibition or an aquarium where you can see what is beneath the floor you are standing  ‘on demand’.  This type of solution could be very helpful in designing interactive spaces where view is the key feature.

Privacy Glass by Smartglass

What could you design with glass solution that guarantees privacy at the flick of a switch? The perfect blend of freedom and privacy is the proper solution for places with varying light requirements and where space is of importance. This would be offices, meeting rooms, places that need glass partitions.

Where can it be used?

It might be a perfect application in large spaces that need to be divided.  Perhaps a community hall or offices for teachers? There are endless possibilities for this advanced technology. This solution should meet everyone’s expectation. To increase safety, it could be fire-rated by Smartglass or even an Anti-Attack laminated version of glass could be used.

Solar Smartglass

Solar Switchable Glass by Smartglass offers full control of solar glare and has been shown to reduce the thermal transmittance through a glass facade which directly cuts down on associated heating/cooling costs. It can be manually or automatically   “tuned” to various levels of darkness, allowing complete solar control.

Where can it be used?

Every space usually requires full control over the amount of light and heat that passes through a window. It is a perfect solution for commercial offices. In the past, ITV Day Break used our solution and it proved how important it is to control light. It is the proper solution for any big studio or recording studio that could be interested in full control of the windows.
