Aqua-444UV provides low temperature cure not achieved by any other coating process as well as being low VOC and water based.

The coatings bond chemically to the glass, thus eliminating the need for high temperature baking, as other glass coatings required.

Applications ofAqua-444UV are an alternate to acid-etching process for surface alteration of glass for high-end framing. This is known (in USA particularly) as "non-glare" and, incorrectly, as non-reflecting glass with one or both surfaces altered to scatter or diffuse the reflected portion of visible light.

Aqua-444UV will not yellow or fade under direct sunlight (depending upon pigmentation) and has excellent resistance to chemicals and water, abrasion resistance and has UV blocking properties.

Aqua-444UV comes in frosted patterns.

Chemical Composition: Aqua-444UV formulation is based on a lead-free and cadmium-free glass, combined with a novel processing approach to create the final imitation etches enamel system.

Durability: Good resistance to attack by mild acids, alkalis, alcohol and water.

Typical Baking (Firing) Conditions

Convection oven: 10 minutes @ 350°F (177T)

IR Oven: 2.5-3 minutes @ 350°F (177T)

Ease of Clean up: Flushing with soap and water or mild cleaning agent is usually all that is necessary to clean equipment and screens. For screen plugs, spray with Isopropyl Alcohol, and lightly scrub with clean soft-bristled brush.

(AGC) of Japan has solved problems in lowering the defect-free rate for the production of fifth- and sixth-generation (5G, 6G) glass substrates, and is expected to tap the market with products with higher price competitiveness in 2006 to grab more market share in the 6G substrate businessIn addition, Wang added, the aggressive capacity added by both Corning of the U.S., the world's No. 1 substrate supplier, and AGC, the No. 2, will lead to price drops for glass substrates and will especially benefit TV panel makers such as AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) and Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. (CMO) in TaiwanCurrently, Wang pointed out, a 6G substrate is priced at about 27,000 to 30,000 Japanese yen, about 1,000 to 2,000 yen lower than in the third quarter of 2005.
