ABRA Auto Body & Glass-Woodbury Assists Make-A-Wish Foundation

Date: 13 October 2005

Aaron Fowler was a typical teenage boy living in Oakdale, MN, with a simple dream of restoring his 1990 Acura Integra. Unfortunately, Aaron is battling terminal Acute Myologeneous Leukemia, and may only have a short time to live.

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation learned of Aaron's dream of refurbishing the 1990 Integra, they contacted several suburban Minneapolis automobile-related businesses. One of those called upon was Frank Govekar, General Manager of ABRA Auto Body & Glass-Woodbury, MN. "We've repaired and refinished the whole vehicle," stated Govekar.

Govekar was especially grateful to his team members that donated their time to work on this project. "This is the first time we've ever done something like this," Govekar continued. "I was surprised that all the men wanted to jump in like they did on their own time and repair this car for him. All of their work was volunteered time."

In addition to the work done by ABRA Auto Body & Glass, White Bear Acura performed all of the mechanical repairs. The repaired Integra was presented to Aaron and his family on Thursday, September 29, 2005 by the staff of ABRA-Woodbury and White Bear Acura.

ABRA Auto Body & Glass is a national damaged vehicle repair company specializing in collision repair, paintless dent removal, and auto glass repair and replacement. Started with one repair center in 1984, they have grown to eighty-eight facilities in eleven states.
