The Seminar provides an excellent opportunity to present and learn about the newest developments in simulation of furnaces and advanced furnace control.
SEMINAR TOPICS
• The theory of glass furnace simulation
• Application of modeling – furnace construction, furnace design, forehearth simulation, glass quality
• Modeling of the combustion and electric melting – energy saving opportunity
• Use of models in furnace operation and related advanced control
SEMINAR LECTURES, POSTERS
Contributions will include invited lectures, regular lectures and posters. Contributors are asked to submit an abstract (approx. 200 words) until February 4, 2013. A notification about acceptance of papers or posters will be e-mailed in February/March 2013.
Oral presentations will be limited to 25 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion. Posters will be presented in a 2-hour session. All information concerning page limitation, format, etc. will be mailed to contributors during January 2013.
4th GLASS FORMING SIMULATION WORKSHOP
This Workshop will be held in conjunction with the Seminar on June 25, 2013. It is focused on application of the forming simulation in the various types of glass production. Main aim is to share information on state-of-the-art technology and its future trends. Invited speakers will present short contributions on practical application of the forming modeling and its technical background.
LANGUAGE
English is the official language of the Seminar and Workshop.
VENUE
The conference will be held in Velke Karlovice, Czech Republic in newly reconstructed Hotel Horal, which offers high quality level including wellness, swimming pool, sport center and golf course with 9 holes. The village of Velke Karlovice is located to the east of the Czech Republic near the border with the Slovak Republic. There is a hilly countryside with possibilities for touring.
