Loss of Pigment in Grey PVB Toughened Laminates

Hi All,

We have supplied toughened laminates for a glazier who has installed them butt joined on a beach front residential facade in Sydney. The interlayers used included 2 x 0.38 Grey Layers as they wanted a darker finish. 2 Years after install, there has appears adjacent to each silicone join a loss of grey pigment approx 10mm along all the joins. Other edges, covered in an aluminum frame show no pigment loss and appear quite normal. Interlayers used were all Eastman product but we are struggling to find out whether it is an issue of silicone compatibility, or if anything to do with our manufacturing.

Can anyone assist with any relevant experience in this area?
