I need to install a soundproof window between 2 rooms. the size will be 900mm x 2600mm. I already have 3 sheets of lam glass, each 10mm thick. The total thickness of the glass needs to be 30mm thick!
Having small gaps between each pane will cause resonance which is bad for soundproofing, yet placing all 3 panes back to back is apparently a no because vibrations and temperature differences etc. Glass rubbing against glass and all that.... So, why couldn't I insert very thing sheets of acrylic between each pane of glass? Could that work? I have asked a few Glaziers, but am still none the wiser.
Hope someone can help! Cheers. pp
