I run a small fab shop with most of jobs being the glass jobs. Since I am a small player, the supplier has been bumping up the price since they know I don’t have much bargain power. It is eating away my profits big time. I am thinking to import glass from somewhere else, mostly likely China. I understand that the glass in Canada needs to comply with the CGSB. For example, the tempered glass needs to be stamped to say it complies with CAN/CGSB 12.1.M. How does it work with imported glass?
Thanks

China glass supplier can fulfill most of the glass standard, for example ASTM C1036. You can always be specified your required standard and then you can get the right product. It's always a good idea to ask them for method statement for glass production of particular glass type you are looking for. Let me know if you need more information about glass from China.
