Bekaert confirms leadership and continuous commitment to the glass and PV industry in the US and ChinaDeinze, Belgium – April 30, 2009 – The sputter division of Bekaert Advanced Coatings will be showcasing its most recent rotatable sputtering technology, including the new one-piece AZO (Zinc Oxide doped with Aluminum oxide) rotatable target, both at booth #317/319 at the SVC (Society of Vacuum Coaters) 52nd Annual Technical Conference & Exhibit in Santa Clara, California, US and at booth #298 in hall E4 at the China Glass 2009 show in Shanghai, China. “By attending both the SVC Conference and China Glass 2009, Bekaert underlines its global presence as well as its continuous commitment to the glass and PV industry in the US and China,” comments Mr.

New : one-piece AZO rotatable target

The new AZO rotatable target is the latest member of Bekaert’s extensive range of rotatable sputter targets with materials for the deposition of TCO layers used in photovoltaic cells.

By combining rotatable targets with its innovative sputter hardware, Bekaert is able to offer complete solutions for new coating lines as well as retrofit existing PVD sputter lines, by enabling longer production runs, faster coating deposition and higher material utilization.



At the heart of the glass and coating communities

The SVC Exhibit takes places at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA, USA, from May 9 to 14, 2009. Bekaert will be present at booth #317/319. The Exhibit is considered to be the ideal platform for companies involved with vacuum coating technology. It is an excellent forum for participants to expand business opportunities, find new contacts and inspiration and learn about new developments, applications and advancements in vacuum coating, surface engineering and related technologies.

The China Glass 2009 event will take place in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, from 13 to 16 May 2009. Bekaert will be present at booth #298, hall E4. China Glass will occupy 55,000 square meters on four halls as well as a large exhibiting tent on outdoor ground. The show is expected to attract more than 30,000 professional visitors from over 100 countries, including about 3,000 from countries outside China.
